CULTURE/COMMUNITY GUIDELINES:
Academy Offerings
When stepping on premise at OPA, you agree to support us towards our vision and mission and help cultivate a healthy and productive culture. Joining On Pointe Academy means agreeing to our community guidelines. Dancers, Families/Supporters, and Staff at OPA aim to:
- Practice RESPECT for authority, others, ourselves, and the spaces we enter.
- Leave people and places BETTER than we found them.
- Practice personal OWNERSHIP and a GROWTH MINDSET.
- Be good NEIGHBORS and teammates and practice good sportsmanship.
- ENCOURAGE one another and build each other up.
We aim to make ballet accessible to a wide range of ages and stages from adult open classes to youth programming and pre-professional tracks.
- Pre-Professional Program (by audition): For students who consider ballet their primary extracurricular pursuit.
- Enrichment Program (by placement): For students who consider ballet a supplementary extracurricular pursuit.
- Open Adult Classes: We believe ballet is for all ages and stages and are thrilled to offer open adult ballet classes. Check the schedule for our beginner, intermediate, and advanced offerings. We also welcome professional dancers to contact the studio for specialized class rates and offerings.
Academy Dress Code
Every stage of a dancer’s development is uniquely valuable and beautiful. Our dress code colors are based on gemstones to remind each dancer of their inherent value and beauty. These colors also serve as meaningful milestones marking and celebrating each dancer’s unique place in their developmental journey.
